Reprints the text of Klein's article from Jewish Life Magazine assailing the Eisenhower administration for obstruction passage of a bill advanced by Sen. Herbert Lehman and Rep. Emanuel Celler aimed at revising the McCarran-Walter law that was enacted over the veto of Pres. Truman in 1950 and was used in the 1950s to target immigrants and suspected Communists.

Colorful handbill listing many entertainers and special guest, with the M.C. R. Lal Singh, editor of India News and member of Indian National Congress. January 26 was the day in 1930 when the Indian National Congress led by Mahatma Gandhi declared "purna swaraj," or complete independence, commencing a long struggle that ended with Indian independence in 1947. The date is still observed as Republic Day, one of India's major national holidays.
