Each page of the text is head by passages written in ancient characters: JONAH in Sumerian; JUDITH in Jacobites of Syria; and RUTH in Hebrew. The leaves are unsewn and laid into a brown Fabriano wrapper which is lettered in gilt on the front. All is contained within a handsome, cloth drop-back box lettered in gilt on the front and wrapped in a protective cover. An attractive typographic specimen in fine condition.
