New, book ordered direct from the former publisher Franklin Library. Free of smelly old humidity stains and the smoke smell of a cigarette or cigar smoker. Stored in temperature-controlled bookcase. Book never read. Franklin Library (a division of Franklin Mint), published collectible books of high-quality materials. New York City: Ice Capades, Inc., 1947. [1947] Ice-Capades of 1947, seventh edition. Paper booklet (about 8x10½-inches) for the 1947 presentation of the Ice-Capades, a live ice-skating production that traveled country-wide. Condition: Cover has listing of names in ink of peoples along with date on cover (probably friends and family who attended the performance); creases to program (former owner probably folded it after the show). Extremities have creases, short tears -- especially to top extremity; bottom of stapled area has ¾-inch tear affecting covers and pages. Small sticker on page one with the date 1947 printed. Age wear, faint foxing, and scattered rubbing; else Good. This program, which sold for 25 cents at the Ice-Capades is becoming scarce, especially this vintage copy.
