New York: The Macmillan Company, 1948. Cloth - Hard Cover. Good+/Fair. 221 pages. Third printing of the first edition. Working copy, signed by Karl Menninger. Typed, one page, draft of a review by Menninger is laid in, with numerous corrections and changes in his hand. Menninger's review seems to be more of Albert Schweitzer than about the book. Schweitzer, by the accolades of Menninger, is "perhaps the greatest living human being..." and is equated to the likes of Gandhi, Socrates, and Lao Tzu. Book remains solid and clean, though well thumbed. Dust jacket shows chips and tears, with a worn spot on spine affecting title over spine. Jacket is clean, and is now protected in a clear mylar sleeve.

Dust jacket is now in a clear Brodart protective sleeve.
