Undated but the first edition of this excellent John Hassall illustrated book with the accompanying text written by Miss Brenda Girvin. There are 23 full page colour illustrations by John Hassall, each remaining bright and vivid owing perhaps to the outstanding printing methods of the day in which mainly organic dyes were employed to produce illustrations of the highest quality and definition. The colour printing has been carried out by Messrs. W. Griggs and Sons and the binding has been executed by Messrs. Leighton, Son, and Hodge.
