Semi-fictional biography written for the young reader. "Shannon Garst is well known for her fine biographies of men and women who have helped blaze the trail to freedom and progress. First Edition. 175 pages, printed in three colors on English Inveresk cream mould-made paper, vignettes from wood engravings in "Ecole des Cuisinieres, Paris, c. 1870," 425 copies, quarter blue cloth with paper label, patterned paper over boards, very good condition (almost imperceptible minor age toning to one edge of front cover and label, not affecting contents.)
