First edition of this scarce gambling guide for the famed Horseshoe Club in downtown Las Vegas purchased by Joseph Warlick Brown (1897-1959) in 1953 for $ 858,000 from Benny Binion, notorious crime syndicate member on his way to Leavenworth. Joe Brown continued to operate and own the club even when Binion was released from prison in 1957, but sold his interest just before he died in February, 1959.

First edition of this scarce first catalogue issued by these two nurserymen on the Seneca River in Baldwinsville, NY. Flower growers were drawn by the expertise of Cornell University’s agricultural stations, and the cut flower market became a boon to Baldwinsville after 1902. Goodrich established a 200 acre farm by 1925 with more than 700 varieties of peonies, and recruited Harry Little from Goodland, Indiana to supply horticultural expertise.
