First performed March 1, 1976 by the National Arts Theatre Centre Company. A play in two acts and 15 scenes, set in an insane asylum in 1938 Ontario. Protagonist Cassandra Wakelin begins to confuse fellow inmates with members of her own ill-fated family.

Very Good +/Very Good -. 224 p. incl. index, bibliography, notes, glossary etc. Maps and photographs, both from the Mallory expedition of 1924 and from the BBC expedition of 1999. VG+/VG-. DJ is bumped along upper edge, somewhat scuffed, otherwise very nice copy. 1999 marked the 75th anniversary of Mallory and Irvine's attempt to reach the summit of Everest. A BBC documentary crew located the body of George Mallory. Based on the historical record and additional information from this discover, Peter Firstbrook has reconstructed the last hours of Mallory and Irvine's lives in an attempt to resolve the question of whether they did, indeed, reach the summit. While a definitive answer is impossible, he has done an excellent job of presenting the history of Everest climbing, and a tribute to the two men who perished there in pursuit of a dream. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
