Description:
New York: Kermit Bloomgarden, 1975. Heavy brad-bound wrappers, title and author stamped in blind on the front cover. [97] leaves, printed on rectos only. An early version of Feiffer's Tony-nominated play, eventually produced in 1976 under the title Knock Knock. Bloomgarden, the legendary Broadway producer, was not involved with the final production, so this draft is likely an earlier one. The text appears similar to the final published version. Feiffer wrote several plays and screenplays (Carnal Knowledge, among others), along with his ongoing illustrations and cartoons.

Description:
Oxford: Sycamore Press, 1969. First edition. Fine. Single sheet folded twice. Fenton's second publication, containing two poems "One" and "Another One," printed by John Fuller at the Sycamore Press. The title is a misquotation from the Psalms, about which Fuller said, "This is the one I misprinted the title. He didn't seem to mind. I had some theological explanation for sticking with it, quite apart from the laziness in order to reprint the whole thing entirely, having done it. I think we could just draw a veil over that. No doubt if you don't say anything about it being an error it will become a sort of postmodernist twist on the biblical text by James himself whenever somebody writes up his work." (as quoted in Ryan Roberts' John Fuller and the Sycamore Press, Oak Knoll 2010). A fine copy.

Description:
n.p. [Rome]: n.d. [1944]. First edition thus. [27] pp.; [20] folded leaves of plates. Chemised in a slipcase. One of 298 numbered copies. Some foxing throughout. Chemise retains fragments of original glassine. Contains 22 drawings reproduced photolithographically, plus two culs-de-lampe. In Women Artists and the Surrealist Movement, Whitney Chadwick wrote that Fini's Juliette drawings are "the frank expression of women's sexual power and dominance. Wielding the whip, women become in these drawings an active, bestial presence. The lust that transforms their faces into masks of depravity is manifested in a nervous, charged line that flickers across the page like the tip of a lash." And Peter Webb, in Sphinx, noted that Fini makes Juliette "a vehicle for the expression of female dominance," the illustrations "not illustrative of specific incidents in the book but rather inspired by the atmosphere created by de Sade." The book was, to Fini's amusement, printed secretly on the Vatican presses at night.

First Fulcrum edition, adding poems not present in the earlier Migrant Press editions. 48 pp. Blue cloth, spine lettered in gilt, with the dust jacket. The source of much controversy, as Finlay was displeased that Fulcrum presented the book as a first edition despite earlier editions having been published. He sued the publisher and won the case, the financial obligations leading to the dissolution of the press. Top edge a bit dusty, jacket scuffed with some creasing and a closed tear at the head of the spine. Ownership stamp on front free endpaper of Roy L. Walford, the noted gerontologist, UCLA professor, and Biosphere 2 physician.
