Number 218 of 300 limited edition copies, signed and numbered by Bird on a "certification" leaf. Inscribed again, and dated 6/8/77, by Bird to "Andy Offutt" on the envelope front. Andrew J. Offutt was an avid science fiction author noted for "Conan"-themed fantasies, and wrote 100s of erotic novels under pseudonyms John Cleve, Turk Winter, John Denis, Opal Andrews, among others. From the Offutt estate.Fabian has worked in fantasy realms since 1965, often illustrating eroticism, although the 3 works here are more adventure than erotica. Bird, who edited the limited "Simba" and "Balik" fanzines, was mainly an illustrator but also wrote poetry, essays, and short fiction. Near Fine with light toning.

The earliest is a cropped contact sheet photograph of Sally making silly faces for David Sutton in the mid 1960s, an image from "The Flying Nun" (1967-70), and a third image featuring Field and Richard Dreyfuss as she hoists an Oscar Award for her role in "Norma Rae" (1979). 5.75 x 8 inches, 7 x 9 inches, and 8 x 10 inches, all b/w, single-weight, blank versos, smaller photo versos with stamped copyrights and brief numerical notations. Very Good Plus overall, faint surface rubbing, versos of smaller photos with brief creases and indentations, and brief tape. Some unseen snapshots of an iconic, charming performer.

Self published, 1940s. Very Good. Seven original B/W single weight snapshot photographs of midget race cars, paddy wagons, rural airstrips, snowed in Packards outside an auto shop, circa 1940s. From the estate of Ralph Foster, a prolific wartime midget racer, military pilot, professional aerial photographer. Foster grew up in Hastings, Nebraska, where he learned to race paddy wagon-size cars in 1930s, became Kansas State Midget Champion by 1940, winning copious main events. During WWII, he flew P-51s, his interest in aerial photography just beginning, although that interest may have origins as early as these snapshots. He was continuously involved in government & secret operations, always mysteriously escaping alive, sentiments echoed in this collection of stirring images.
