Paris: N.p. [Vendome Press/Obelisk Press], 1931 [1930]. 8vo, pp. 284. Original cream stiff paper wrappers, lettered in red and black to front panel and spine, uncut. A single small chip to top edge near spine, some edgewear to foot of spine, toning consistent with its age, otherwise a near fine copy. First edition, with the variant title page. Jam To-day, Marjorie Firminger's only novel, was published by Herbert Clarke at the Vendome Press. Clarke died shortly after publication, and rights to this title -- and to Firminger's next two books (never published) -- passed to Jack Kahane, who bought Clarke's operation and renamed it the Obelisk Press. There are two different title pages to the edition: one naming the Vendome Press and giving its address, and one merely stating 'Paris 1931'. Wrapper design by Richard Chopping. First trade edition, preceded by the limited signed edition of 250 copies. The eleventh title in the Bond series.
