Paris: N.p. [Vendome Press/Obelisk Press], 1931 [1930]. 8vo, pp. 284. Original cream stiff paper wrappers, lettered in red and black to front panel and spine, uncut. A single small chip to top edge near spine, some edgewear to foot of spine, toning consistent with its age, otherwise a near fine copy. First edition, with the variant title page. Jam To-day, Marjorie Firminger's only novel, was published by Herbert Clarke at the Vendome Press. Clarke died shortly after publication, and rights to this title -- and to Firminger's next two books (never published) -- passed to Jack Kahane, who bought Clarke's operation and renamed it the Obelisk Press. There are two different title pages to the edition: one naming the Vendome Press and giving its address, and one merely stating 'Paris 1931'.
