Cincinnati: Standard Publishing, 1962 Pink spine and back with white printing. The front cover is white with a color illustration and black printing. The spine top/bottom and cover corners are barely bumped and rubbed consistent with shelfwear, else fine. The dust jacket, which matches the book covers, has a little more wear, especially along the top and a small tear at the spine, some very light foxing on the front and very minor rubbing on the back, else very good. The front and back pastedowns and flyleafs have some minor foxing, else fine. 128 pages which are clean, crisp, unmarked and uncreased with many b/w and color illustrations. New York: R.F. Fenno & Co. Tan cloth covers with black printing on the spine and front cover with an illustration of a magician on the front cover. Minor soiling on the front cover with the spine head and heel worn and starting to fray. The cover corners are bumped and the edges are worn. 122 pages that are yellowed, clean, crisp, unmarked and uncreased. There is no date, but research involving the story and books advertised in the back gives a date about 1915, 1916. The inside hinges are starting to crack, but the binding is still good and tight. The back has a couple white rub marks, else as new. The corners are not bumped or rubbed although the top and bottom of the spine is barely bumped, else as new. The back and front end plates are decoratively illustrated. 318 front-deckle edged pages which are clean, crisp, unmarked and uncreased with the top edges retaining the blue top-stain. The previous owner's name, in pencil, on the half-title page, else as new. The binding is so good and tight it appears to be unread. A fine collector's edition from a non-smoking household.
