There are two letterpress copies of the poem in different formats, each signed and numbered by Ferlinghetti. There is an envelope of 8 photographs of Ferlinghetti with the artist and publisher, Soheyl Dahl. There are original signed paintings by Dahl. There is a bound copy of the email correspondence between Ferlinghetti, Dahl, and the printer regarding this project. Both Dahl and the printer, Bill Roberts, have signed this packet of correspondence. <br /> <br /> This is copy #3 of the portfolio, and belonged to Bill Roberts of Bottle of Smoke Press.

Very good condition with a few edge chips to the covers, which protrude beyond the textblock on three sides. One largish chip (1 3/8" x 1/8") along upper fore edge that has been expertly repaired.. Advertising. Two early F. Scott Fitzgerald print appearances, one story and one poem, in Princeton's undergraduate literary magazine. His short story "The Spire and the Gargoyle" occupies this issue's first eleven pages of content, and the college-angsty poem "Rain Before Dawn" appears on page 321. <br /> <br /> The Nassau Lit was edited at this time by Fitzgerald's friend, John Peale Bishop. Bound in rust colored cloth over bevelled boards stamped in gilt and black, dark teal endpapers. Binding shows minor extremity rubs, shallow bumps to spine ends. Hinges and endpapers sound. Some light scattered foxing inside. Very handsome copy.. Engraved plates. Detailed report which is inscribed and signed by Gustavus Fox on a preliminary blank leaf. The inscription reads: "Miss S. L. Tucker / with the regards of / G. V.
