Wraps/Paperback booklet, staple binding, 53 pages.  No date--probably 1930's or 1940's.  Gray cover has tanning/age toning and a dark gray spot where a price sticker was removed.  Inside front cover and title page have owner's name crossed out.  Title page has some additional marker and pen.  Page 28/29 has some gray smudges, otherwise pages clean and unmarked.  Back cover and some pages have minor bends at corners.  Very scarce farming title.

Glossy pamphlet, staple-bound, 31 pages.  Very small dried-up tan water stain by corner of back cover.  A few tan foxing spots along spine of back cover.  Light general cover wear, inside is clean, unmarked, very low wear, binding tight.  With a color photo cover and lots of b&w photos/illustrations inside.  Still contains original publisher's laid-in paper insert.  Sections on skin, make-up, the face, baths, hair, figure, diet, clothes, composure, social skills, and more.  Plus thumbnail photos of 8 actresses considered by Paramount to be "Stars of Tomorrow" in 1952.  Scarce.

Tan-color softcover--cover has brown lettering and artwork. French's Standard Library Edition, copyright 1930 (Note: there was an earlier edition copyright 1929). Acceptable+ condition--good considering the age: cover has a few small stains & a torn-off lower right corner (only a few millimeters are missing). Cover also has general moderate wear. Some yellowing of outer pages. Edges have some shelf dust, discoloration, and staining. Inside is clean and very nice.

"Broken Dishes" is a lesser-known play by Martin Flavin, who also wrote "The Criminal Code". The text starts with a copy of the program from the 1st performance as presented at the Ritz Theatre, New York, November 5, 1929. The play follows. Photographs from the play and a diagram of the set design are part of the book. It is the French's Standard Library Edition. Rare collectible, good for any fan of New York theater.

Book in good condition--chips to the blue finish of the cover at the edges, light shelf dust/dirt on top page edges. Otherwise very good--clean, very low wear, binding tight. Dustjacket has a tear of several inches, some small missing pieces at the edges, and some light discoloration.
