Very small chip at spine. Pages are clean and unmottled. Ownership name on front. Davidson was a popular writer of the late 19th century, particularly famous for his ballads. Davidson completed two plays (1907, 1908) of a trilogy (Smith: A Tragedy is the second) on the theme that came to interest him in his later years, a combination of scientific materialism and romantic will in the belief that man has been created to express himself to the utmost.
