Book looks smashing, but we grade conservatively and endeavor to list all notable flaws. Straight, clean with just a hint (perhaps as made?) of upper rear board tip bump. Lower front board tip has hint of wear. No marking of any kind. Fore-edge unsmudged, no cocking. Perhaps lightly read once. Found 2 page tips with microscopic dog ear, mild, hard to see. The jacket reads prettily and suspect it's odd flaw will be invisible in it's new mylar wrapper. Specifically, at the front hinge a bit of punch/scar has occurred. Frankly did not notice it until inspecting from inside, pencil eraser size with odd trace of associated stain, again so mild as to be hard to see, even from the white inside. London: Baldwyn, 1817. Later Printing . Full-Leather. Poor/No Jacket. This very old 525 plus page book is rough and is sold for its text only. Book is 8 1/2" X 5 1/2." The first pastedown is partially removed and has left a homely surface, first endsheets severely foxed, as are last sheets. Rear leather board fully detached, front board cracked but holding, if gappy. The text is complete with frontispiece T.P., text, index. Spine bottom chipped. Much aged, battered charm here. Perhaps a good candidate for restoration?
