Introduction by Leonard Feather and commentary by Terry Southern. One of the most beautiful examples of jazz photography in book form. Claxton was an insider and much-loved by jazz musicians; Shorty Rogers composed "Clickin' With Clax" in his honor The photograph of Charlie Parker surrounded by fans in a studio portrait is absolutely stunning. The photographs in the book were all taken between 1953 and 1963.
