Rarely offered title. One copy located on Worldcat. Very Good with light shelf wear, slight bubbling of cloth at front cover.

No date, circa 1885. Large Folio set in six volumes. Extremely scarce, no complete sets at auction. Each folio with six lithographs.

New York: D. Appleton and Co., 1904. First Edition. Uncommon work by the founder of the American National Red Cross and president from 1881 to 1904. Very Good but for noticeable moisture wave to pages, in Good edge chipped dustjacket with water stain to upper quarter.

New York: G. P. Putnam's Sons, 1899. First Edition, first impression, second issue with the ads headed 'New Fiction'. Original illustrated cloth and mostly printed dustjacket. Bierce's take on politicians, businessmen, and religious leaders. Very scarce in dustjacket. Near Fine in Very Good dustjacket, half inch of loss at top spine end, closed tear below, couple of small chips at lower edge, half dollar sized light stain at lower front panel.

Duodecimo, 6 x 3 4/8 inches. Original printed orange paper overs boards, black cloth spine, large folding lithographed map (30 x 38 4/8 inches; 28 x 36 4/8 inches to the neat line), with original hand colour in outline, with the major battle sites indicated in red, and an inset map of southern Florida (one or two separations at folds, a bit toned). The detailed map, 'Perrine's New Topographical War Map of the Southern States,' shows the states north to include a good portion of Pennsylvania, west through Missouri, and south through most of Florida, with an inset of the southern part of Florida, with sites of battles and important events circled in red. The text gives a chronological, day-by-day account of the progress of the Civil War through November 1863, followed by a table of distances, a list of casualties, and other statistical information concerning the war. Boston: Copeland and Day, 1895. Octavo, publisher's printed paper wrapper over boards. Only the top edge has been trimmed. First thus. One of 500 copies on Dutch handmade paper out of an edition totaling 550 copies. Bertram G. Goodhue designed the title page and all of the initials found on each page. The date on the wrapper spine is 1896 but Kraus calls for the date to be 1895. Near fine, some light foxing.

Columbia and London: University of Missouri Press, 1978. Quarto, leather spine over blue cloth. Number 83 of 300 copies signed by the editor, in slipcase. Fine condition in very good slipcase that has been bumped along the spine.

New York: W. J. Watt and Company, (1911). First Edition. Harrison Fisher dustjacket art and matching frontis. An uncommon New York City set novel of a young couple, the husband preoccupied with business and the wife who becomes a suffragette. Near Fine in Very Good dustjacket, chipped at spine ends and some edges.

New York: Lincoln Mac Veagh, The Dial Press, 1929. First Edition, 'Advance Copy / Not For Sale' stamped at front endpaper. Politzer dustjacket art. Author's first novel and one of the first crime noir titles. Classic gangster novel and basis for the 1931 film starring Edward G. Robinson, Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., and Glenda Farrell. An uncommon title to be found in the first edition format. Almost Near Fine, mild vertical crease at spine, in Very Good dustjacket, half centimeter loss at top spine end, three centimeter closed tear at top front spine edge, some edges with nicks or wear.

First Edition. Modest Stein dustjacket art. One of Burroughs' rare western adventure novels. Near Fine but for a couple of abrasions at front endpaper, where perhaps a bookplate was removed, in Very Good dustjacket, soiling to panels, dime sized chip at lower spine end, four small pieces of yellowed scotch tape at verso.

First Edition. J. Allen St. John dustjacket art and illustrations. An uncommon Tarzan title in which the jungle warrior finds himself among a lost tribe, who have tails and live where dinosaurs still roam. Found in Bleiler and Reginald. A very attractive Near Fine volume in Very Good plus dustjacket, few edge nicks and light soiling.
