Tom the cat and Jerry the mouse were born in the late 1930s under the pencil of Joseph Barbera and William Hanna. The two creators joined forces in 1957 to found the Hanna-Barbera animation company, the forerunner of the big studios: in addition to Tom and Jerry, they were responsible for many famous creations: Scooby Doo, Les Fous du volant, Satanas et Diabolo, Capitaine Caverne and La Famille Pierrafeu.
