First published in the UK in 1970 as The Atrocity Exhibition (without the Burroughs preface), this is the first published American edition. Doubleday had produced a version of the novel under its original title in 1970, but it was suppressed and almost completely destroyed by the publisher. A sharp copy, uncommon in such fine condition.
