One of several designs used, another uncommon ad features Monroe peeking through blinds. Based on "Mischief" (Armstrong, 1950). Blonde phenom Richard Widmark plays a man who leaves his girlfriend (Bancroft), sees a new woman (Monroe) who might be slightly insane. 20 pages, saddle stitched, 11 x 15.55 inches. Near Fine overall, only light rubbing and a tiny tear at the crown.

privately printed, 1949. Very Good Plus. Vintage photographs of Forbes Field in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1949, depicting a baseball game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Brooklyn Dodgers. All photographs with ink notations on both sides, one vaguely hinting at the batter at the plate, a blurry Jackie Robinson. The players and the majority of the field are barely visible, but the images do capture good views along the third baseline and behind the plate. The Dodgers walloped the Pirates, 15-3, Robinson had 3 runs and 3 hits. Black/white, silver gelatin snapshots with deckle edges, all 3.25 x 4.5 inches, single-weight, small borders. Blotters were useful during the heyday of fountain pens (devices that bled ink), placed behind the parchment to absorb the excess ink and keep safe any surfaces beneath. Two Baltimore companies are represented: O.F.H. Warner, a printing company, and Maryland Casualty Company (Harrisburg, PA, office), and two are blank. Both blanks feature kids playing ball, one appears to be Leyendecker work, but both illustrations are unsigned. Three are 3.25 x 6.25 inches, 1 is slightly shorter, card stock, printed on rectos, plain versos (3 blue). Very Good overall, light foxing, rubbing, toning, a few light bumps and small creases.

Classic playing action w/ a runner in mid-flight! Mehoopany ("Place of Beads" in Native American) is located in Wyoming County in the Alleghany NE Pennsylvania, founded in 1844.
