The jacket is now contained in a thick protective cover. The boards have very minor rubbing to both ends of spine. The righthand edge of the text block has minor marking. Internally, the book is clean and bright and tightly bound.

Macmillan & Co., Limited, London; first edition, 1925. Contains a frontispiece, 'Motherhood', from a drypoint drawing by the renowned Scottish artist (and first official war artist) Muirhead (later Sir Muirhead) Bone, the author's husband. Dark green boards have some bumping at the spine edges, and very minor wear at the corners. The binding is tight, but slightly askew. There is some browning to the endpapers and to the half title page and the final page of text. Some light spotting to the deckle edges. The text is clean and bright.
