Walter "Red" Smith was one of the most admired sportswriters of the 20th Century. Smith and Graziano were well acquainted. Ira Berkow's biography of Smith notes that the two men were occasional dinner companions, with Smith regularly picking up the tab. Smith was also one of the strongest defenders of Graziano during Rocky's suspension by the New York State Athletic Commission.The book was acquired from the library of journalist Harry Rosenfeld, who was a colleague of Smith's at the New York Herald Tribune.Condition of the book is Good only.
