Description:
London: Oxford, 1935. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. (London: The Oxford University Press Humphrey Milford 1935). First UK Edition. Large format, fine contents, very slight spotting on endpapers, all plates and drawings present and correct, in the VERY SCARCE VG+ D/W which is a little scuffed, with some slight corner wear, and which has two small chips on the upper edge of the rear panel and two tiny holes nearby. One of the author's most important works, here in the rarely seen Dust Wrapper. A very heavy book, so extra postage costs may be necessary

Description:
1913. First Edition. Hard Cover. (New York and London: D Appleton & Company 1913). First Edition. Likely Second State with the code (2) at the base of text on page 362. Publisher's salmon cloth gilt lettering to front board and spine and also blind-stamped to the front board. A 1.5 cm tear in the cloth at the head of the spine (which is also age-darkened) and soiling to the boards in places. Near VG. No D/W. Clairvoyant dreams, ghosts, murder, and intrigue abound in this short story collection. Dr. Stanchon might be a brilliant diagnostician, but the oddity of his cases more often involves the paranormal undercurrents of late nineteenth-century New York than curious illnesses. Whether he's counselling his patients to break free of their compulsions, keeping family secrets, or tending to his haunted house and its ill-fated tenants, Dr. Stanchon always seems to be in the middle of something mere science just can't explain! Uncommon.

Description:
1911. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. (Leipzig: Karl Baedeker, Publisher 1911). Sixteenth Revised Edition. With 10 maps and 19 plans (all present). Bright and tightly bound in red flexible red covers cloth with gold titles. Light fading to spine, edge wear and tear at top of spine. All maps are included and remain near fine. The text remains bright and unmarked. A nice copy. IN THE VERY RARE plain brown D/W which is darkened to the spine and with a 7 cm closed tear to the right hand edge of the front panel adjacent to the inside flap. In our experience copies of this book in the D/W are exceedingly uncommon. Indeed, this is the first example that we have handled. Photographs/scans available upon request.
