Nantes: A.G.E.N., 1969. 4to, 4 pp. including covers, single 20 3/4 x 11 3/4" sheet folded once to make a four pager. Illustrated with detourned cartoon strips. Text in French. Addition vertical fold, creasing and a few short tears to margins, but still very good.

Joinville le Pont: Société B.G.B., 1979. First edition. 8vo,saddle-stapled wraps. Photographically illustrated artists' book featuring a series of four captioned photographs, each separated by a sheet of glassine. The artist's second book. Very good with a light bump to lower tip and some moderate toning.

Rotterdam: Abandon, 1978. First edition. 8vo, unpaginated, saddle-stapled wraps with title pastedown to front panel. Illustrated with a tipped-in calendar sheet printed on glassine, and horological diagrams. One of a limited edition of 250 numbered copies. Text in Dutch. First and only issue of this brilliant conceptual art periodical, which in this installment had two parts - the first concerned with a proposal to start with year zero at the milennium, and the second dealt with time, workplaces and boredom. Near fine with some light toning to margins of wraps.

Netherlands: Marion van Wijk & Dalstar Veenman Publishers, 1997. First edition. 4to, 216 pp, xeroxed in b/w and tape bound with black cloth tape into color covers, with color reproductions of maps inside covers. Artists' book with extensive documentation of van Wijk and Koos Dalstra's investigations into the circumstances of the disappearance of Bas Jan Ader and his boat, the discovery of the boat, The Ocean Wave, by Spanish authorities, and the subsequent theft of the boat. A large number of the pages consist of photocopies from the police reports. Twenty years after publication the work was reprinted in a different format by Primary Information - increasingly scarce in this original edition. Fine.

Amsterdam: Aktiegroep Nieuwmarkt, 1975. Nos. 1-4, 6-21. Foolscap format, nos. 1-3 crimp-bound at left margin, later issues either stapled once at upper left hand corner, or folded, unbound sheets. Text in Dutch. A nearly complete run, lacking only the 5th number, of this impassioned underground periodical which bracketed the Nieuwmarkt Riots [Nieuwmarktrellen]. The riots protested the forced condemnation and eviction of buildings to construct the Eastern Metro, hence the striking drawing of a death's head train driving out of the cover of the first issue. On 24 March 1975, later known as Blue Monday, extensive riots broke out with police to protest the demolitions. While the demolitions continued, future plans for other metro lines were abandoned. The pages of Nieuwmarkt Dagblad capture the blow by blow intensity of those days, with striking artwork, cartoons, and photographs of the riots. Very good with scattered creasing and toning.

San Francisco: Blue Notes, 1983. 4to, 20 pp. incl. covers, saddle-stapled wraps. Offset printed in blue ink. Single issue of the early personal computing zine, which positions itself on the cover of this issue as being "an informational alternative to the rigors of digesting PC Magazine every month." The zine was printed in blue in homage to the blue side panels of IBM Mainframes. This issue includes the first installment of Harry Logan's "Com Corner," dedicated to telecommunications and computing, and includes a tutorial on Bulletin Board Systems (BBS), a review of the strategy game Pits and Stones, Bill Weil's Bits and Bytes column, and more. Scarce. At the time of this issue the group had 300 members, suggesting a small print run (and even smaller for the earlier issues). A scarce early pc zine. Old fold line, and some minro rusting to staple, toning to the covers, but a sound very good example.

New York: The Tunnel, 1987. 5 1/2 8 1/2" invitation postcard. Invitation to a fashion show and costume contest at Tunnel made in conjunction with the film. The verso includes the rules for the show, and lists the judges, including Michael Alig and Haout Montaug. Surface marred by some overall scuffing, with rubbing to tips and a single light crease. Good only.

Atlanta, 1994. 2 1/8 x 8 3/4" ticket, letterpress printed in silver on black chipboard. Beautifully designed and printed by Bruce Licher of Independent Project Press. An unused ticket for the 1994 festival which boasted a remarkable line up - AMM, Faust, Tony Conrad, Jim O'Rourke, Zeena Parkis, Thurston Moore, Keiji Haino, Michael Morley of the Dead C. et al. Fine.

[Madison, WI], 1988. Hand-painted 12" appropriated vinyl LP record, housed in a painted and stencilled gatefold sleeve. Artists' record issued in conjunction with the 1988 iteration of the Festival of the Swamps, a counter-festival to the Festival of the Lakes. Though the record bears no attribution, it is likely the work of Liz Was and Miekal And, who started the festival.

np: United Pirates, 2005. First edition. Square 12mo, 48 pp, bound in photographically illustrated flexibile boards. A clandestine publication issued under the "United Pirates" imprint. This small and intriguing photobook collections snapshots by an unnamed French doctor of beachgoers in Cannes during the mid 1950's - some of them perhaps recognizable from celluloid dreams. "These pictures were taken during a rare period of unbelievable tolerance, probably as an anticlimax after the horros of a world conflict. The photographer was a French dotor who worked near the beach in Cannes during the mid 1950's. For the enjoyment of the reader, daytime scenes alternate with furtive nightly meetings. We have deliberately refrained from indicating which characters meet more than once. A photograph featuring an intense looking youth in jeans and jacket smoking in front of graffiti on a wall which reads, "Serve the people." A superb image. Photographer unknown. Some minor soiling and creasing, with a faint wash of some residue visible, else very good.

Girard, Kansas: Haldeman-Julius, 1922. 32mo, saddle-stapled in blue wraps, two staple binding. This appears to be a variant not noted by Gibbs. It corresponds most closely to first recorded state of 121c, and is in the TCPS wrappers, but lacks the advertisements. Very good with fading to wraps and some toning.

San Francisco, 1985. three leaves, photo-mechanically reproduced on rectos only and stapled once at the upper left hand corner. Anonymous zine out of the Bay Area mid-1980's milieu written by an anonymous writer who describes herself as a female "from a Catholic family of 15." Attacks misconceptions about AIDS, abortion, use of condoms, and the iconography of the American flag. Fine.

np, c. early 19th century. 8vo, 16 pp, consisting of an index [pp. 1-2], and receipts [5-16]. Second leaf blank. Saddle-stitched, with outer leaves detached. Outer leaves rather darmpstained, but complete legible. Interior leaves clean, with a very clear hand throughout. Manuscript on watermarked paper.m The 29 recipies including those for "silvering" brass, japanning, "cement" (aka glue) "useful for Turners" and broken pots and glasses. Of specialnote are two color related recipies, including one for "making a glare of Eggs," and a for wood varnishes in red, blue, yellow, green, and black.

[Prague]: Druk H. Mercy, 1910. 8vo,107 pp, stab-stapled and glue bound into violet printed wraps. Front and back panels of wraps detached but present, with the paper covering the spine mostly perished. Marginal annotations in pencil throughout. The second edition of this privately published and circulated utopian proposal to create an organized intelligentsia and foster human creativity against capitalism. Published around Whitsun in Prague, it includes reactions from readers who had received the first version of the text. A third, publicly published edition would follow later this same year. The work was written by Viktor Hueber, a former Austrian captain who became a member of the circle which published the short-lived magazine Der Anfang, in which Benjamin published his first poems and essays. Superb French avant-garde music fanzine with lots of great graphic art and comics, which was related to the Antenne accidentelle show on Radio-Tele Chatenay. Includes material on the Residents, Foggy Eyes, Blurt, Don Cherry, Ed Blackwell, Crass Tropical Corridor etc. Scarce. OCLC locates holdings at only one location worldwide, The Bibliotheque Nationale. Very good with some bleed through from the drawing at back cover.

With a text by Yoshiaki Tono. Rubbed at the spine, with some toning and light soiling to wraps, and a 1/2" split at head of spine. A worn example, but sturdy and very good. The poster within is fine.
