Accra, Ghana: Woeli Publishing Services, 1995. First edition. A derivative political thriller by the African novelist, Kodwo Abaidoo - his second book - in which black nationalists from Malangada, South Africa, use assassination and other terrorist measures in cities from Philadelphia to Cologne to put pressure on the minority white government. More interesting than the book itself is the lengthy presentation inscription from the author to actor Denzel Washington, in which he praises the actor's performance in "Cry Freedom" and inquires whether he and Spike Lee could turn Black Fury into a feature length film. 8vo. Perfect-bound, illustrated wrappers, 301 p. PRESENTATION INSCRIPTION to half-title page. Some light wear to wrappers, else VG+.

Norrviken, Sweden: Einar Aberg, 1947. A small format circular by the anti-Semitic propagandist Einar Åberg of Sweden. Åberg quotes from a variety of Jewish sources concerning the designs of world Jewry and then cites John 8:44 as proof that the Jews are the children of Satan. Åberg (1890-1970) founded the Anti-Jewish Action League of Sweden and was the country's most active anti-Semitic propagandist, often corresponding with leading anti-Semites around the world. He was jailed numerous times for his activities and was one of the first Holocaust deniers following the end of WWII. A small 4" x 2 ½" sheet printed in English on recto only. Old staple hole to the corner, spot of glue residue.

Hyderabad, India: S. Venugopal Sharma for the Academy of Gandhian Studies, 1981. In the original staplebound printed wrappers; 64 pp. Contents include an editorial entitled "From Politics to People;" an article on next steps for the Sarva Seva Sangh; "Comprehensive Study on Nuclear Weapons: A Summary;" "Gandhi and Yoga;" "The Only Remedy - Back to Gandhi;" "Our Children and We - 2;" "Gandhi and the English;" "Hinduism on Trial;" plus reviews. This journal appears to have run from 1978-1985, but we find no copies of any issue in commerce (2015). Easily Very Good with some browning to paper and "bleeding" near staples. Clean throughout.

Washington, D. C.: Southern States Press Association, 1958. A virtually unobtainable racist and anti-Semitic publication concocted by Eustace Mullins, but issued under the pseudonym George Thomas Adams for the fictitious Southern States Press Association. The newsletter is a compilation of horrific news clippings of Black crime against White women and children with illustrations of Jewish caricatures and satirically captioned photographs of Africans and apes. In one doctored photograph, a small white toddler sits at the feet of a group of Mau Maus with the caption: "Mau Mau boys in the jungle cities of the north capture a young white girl for sex." Mullins can't help but insert some disparaging editorializing, such as the following: "DID YOU KNOW THAT -- government policy for minorities is created by sex perverts who salivate freely at the thought of little white girls being brutally ravished by hulking Negro thugs? Includes an editorial by Wendell Addington, articles by Martha Harris ("Stalin, the Youth and Peace"), national chairman, Leon Wolfsy ("Youth and the New Administration"), Gus Hall ("On Leadership Training," a previously unpublished article, the text of his guest speech to the N. Y. state convention of the Labor Youth League, May 19, 1951), LYL National Council ("For Alertness: Against FBI Provocations and Frame-Ups in the Youth Movement"), Roosevelt Ward, Jr. ("Young Negro Cultural Workers: The Problems and the Task"), and by a group of young auto workers in Michigan ("Problems of Auto Youth). Los Angeles: Keep America Committee, 1956. A pro-segregation flyer compiled by the Keep America Committee, an anti-Semitic, nationalist organization primarily run by Ms. Helen W. Courtois in Los Angeles. The recto reprints an article that originally appeared in "The County Record" in Williamsburg Co., SC, by Black minister, Rev. Webster McClary, in which he criticizes the NAACP for stirring up race hatred and suggests, "What this country needs is more Christian leaders on both sides who will teach their people to pray more and work toward friendship and peace and prosperity instead of mixing breeds against God's plan." The bottom of the verso reprints demands listed in the 1928 issue of "The Daily Worker" to demonstrate the Communist involvement in racial agitation. Sausalito, CA: Noontide Pres, 1962. Fourth edition. An indispensable directory & supplement of "Rightist" groups operating in the U.S. (and elsewhere) during the early 1960s. Unlike similar guides published by left wing watchdog groups, this directory was compiled by right wing elements, including Willis Carto, to try and unify the disparate organizations and individuals of the right, which is somewhat ironic given Carto's chronically divisive nature. A Key to Letter and Other Symbol Designations precedes the listings, and includes States' rights, Anti-communist, Anti-fluoridation, Anti-internationalist, Libertarian, Right to work, Religious, and other groups. Octavo (23.5 cm); 92 pp of text; 80 pp. of plates; large fold-out plate of New York State Reformatory Inmate Military Organization measuring approximately 48 x 18.5". Red, gilt-stamped cloth; corners bumped and a trifle worn. Previous owner's name stamped to bottom edge and title page verso. Easily a very good plus copy with the scarce fold-out plate affixed to the front endpaper. Curiously the 1916 edition seems to be less scarce then this later edition of the hand book, but regardless, we find no other copies with the fold-out plate still attached. Elmira was established "for the reception of male felons, between the ages of sixteen and thirty, not previously convicted of any crime punishable by imprisonment in a state prison," and first began receiving prisoners in 1876. [Los Angeles]: [American White Guard], 1937. A 4 ¼" x 4 " sticker featuring the "Coat of Arms of the CIO," which is an illustration of two Jews sitting back-to-back hiding bombs and cudgels under their winged cloaks. Listed are eight Jewish CIO leaders and an acronym for the USSR: Union of Soulless Swine and Robbers. Although no creator is listed, a letter from American White Guard founder, Henry Allen, to Jewish Community Committee operative, Charles Slocombe, who infiltrated the American White Guard, describes the stickers and implores "Charlie" to "put out as many thousand of the enclosed in Long Beach as you can possibly manage." He offers the stickers on gummed paper (our copy) for $3.50 per thousand and on ordinary paper ("for hand distribution or mailing") for $2.75 per thousand. The letter has been digitized and can be found in the Jewish Federation Council of Greater Los Angeles' Community Relations Committee Collection (phew).

New York: New Century Publishers, 1945. First edition. Illustrated, stapled wrappers (5" x 7 ¼"), 63 pp, illus. Light rubbing to wrappers, about Near Fine. Allen was the pseudonym of the Jewish Communist, Sol Auerbach, and in this pamphlet he argues for expanding the cooperative relationships that defeated fascism and that provide the opportunity to envision global prosperity.

New York: Workshop of Graphic Artists, 1948. Reprint. A pamphlet reporting on a 1931 trial staged by the Communist Party, USA, in New York, in which one of its members, August Yokinen, was charged with white chauvinism for advocating the expulsion of three black workers from the Finnish Workers Club in Harlem. Following an introduction by Jim Allen, the pamphlet includes Proceedings of the Trial, Speech of C. A. Hathaway, Prosecutor for the District Committee of the Communist Party, U.S.A., Speech of Richard B. Moore, Attorney for the Defense, Statement by August Yokinen (translated from Finnish), Summaries by Moore and Hathaway, and the jury's verdict. The jury of 14 CP members voted to expel Yokinen from the Party until he could sufficiently demonstrate his opposition to white chauvinism. Salt Lake City: The Author, 1948. A small circular containing excerpts from a letter by an outraged Jew following publication of Allen's "Zionist War-Mongering in the U.S.A." (1948). Allen begins, "The writer has received a typically 'Jewish' reply to the truth, facts, and documentation contained in ZIONIST WAR-MONGERING, proving the venom and vengefulness of these people." Four excerpts follow, concluding with the line: "YOU SHOULD BE TARRED AND FEATHERED." Allen then states that she's filing a copy of the letter with the F.B.I. and Police Dept. Printed in black on pale blue stock (8" x 3 ¾"). A Fine copy; ‘1948' penciled to the to bottom. One copy in OCLC at MSU, although we're fairly certain a copy also resides with her papers at the University of Utah.

Center for Study of Working Class Life, 2006. In his seminal essay, Theodore Allen argues that racial slavery was not an inevitable outcome of European colonization of the Americas, but rather a deliberately constructed system designed to divide the working class along racial lines and prevent them from uniting against the ruling class. Allen contends that in the early years of colonial America, there was no concept of "white" or "black" people, but rather a class of property-less workers who were exploited by the ruling class. Originally published as a pamphlet in 1975 by the Hoboken Education Project, a second printing was issued in 1976. It then fell out of print until this edition, which includes a lengthy introduction by Allen's literary executor, Jeffrey B. Perry (Allen died in 2005). [New York]: Womens Committee of the Workers Alliance, 1937. A flyer calling for the women of New York to join a "mammoth demonstration of 10,000 women" at City Hall to protest WPA cuts in New York City. The text maintains that 60,000 WPA workers in New York City "will be thrown into the streets" thereby driving down wages as jobs become more competitive. The Workers Alliance of America was founded in 1935 under the auspices of the Socialist Party of America and originally resembled a trade union representing the unemployed and WPA workers. The group merged with the Unemployed Councils of the Communists and the National Unemployed Leagues in 1936 and by the late 1930s was under the wing of the CPUSA. HUAC designed them a Communist Front organization in 1940. [Virginia]: [United Klans of America?], [197-?]. A United Klans of America variant of the Oliver Allstorm (b. Oliver Allstrom) anti-miscegenation poem, "The Saddest Story Ever Told," about the marriage of a white woman and a black man and the birth of their mixed-race child. The poem begins, "When a white girl marries a Negro, her sun of life goes down, / And glaring spots of sin appear on her white wedding gown... "We know a carnivorous bug has crept into her brain / And gnawed away her self-respect, which has left her half insane." The poem continues in similarly dramatic fashion recounting the protagonist's regret following the birth of her interracial child ("...now my baby's mongrel face reminds of my shame"), her parents' death following her marriage ("...crushed when I became a Negro's common bride"), and her thoughts of suicide as the only solution to "racial suicide." A volley of vitriolic verse intended to disgust other racially aware readers troubled by increasing interracial marriages.… Read More
