London: J. Wilkie and W. Charnley, 1776. [2], 382pp, [4]. Contemporary full calf, raised bands, spine in six panels, morocco title label to second panel, bands bordered by gilt double rule, gilt roll to edges. Chipped with loss to head of spine, outer joints slightly split, but holding well, small amount of loss towards head of front cover, edges rubbed. Internally very lightly browned, but generally quite bright and clean. Signature E misbound but complete. Nineteen plates (eighteen folding) as called for. Bicknell notes that it "incorporates 'An Excursion of 1773' (Bicknell 6), with little alteration ... to it is added an excursion to other parts of Cumberland, Hexham and parts of Durham and Yorkshire." There were no plates in the earlier edition, Bicknell 7; Upcott pg 120. First Thus. Full Calf. Good. 8vo.

Internally some light browning, some sporadic spotting to a few signatures of first volume, one or two instances of off setting from plates, ffep creased. London: W. Clarke, 1807. Sixteen aquatints in the original card covers, with the original label to upper cover. Worn to extremities, spine has had a brown paper tape added at some point in the past, this is now largely absent, corners slightly curled, small amounts of loss to foot of spine, label with a previous owner's name in ink. Internally some light browning, the last three aquatints have some browning to top edge just touching plate mark, but not the image, generally quite bright and clean. The final aquatint lacks the tissue guard. Book label of Charles J. Bewlay of Carleton Hall to front pastedown, with a shelf mark in ink to upper corner. The views were by J.[ohn] 'Warwick' Smith (1749-1831) and J.[ohn] Emes (d. c.1809), and engraved by S.[amuel] Alken (1756-1815), the father of Henry Alken (for Alken see Alexander, 'A Biographical Dictionary of British and Irish Engravers 1714-1820', pages 48-9). Uniform half calf and marbled paper over boards, raised bands, spines in six panels, morocco title label to second panel, remaining panels with gilt double fillet border, shell corner pieces joined by elongated volutes and pointille, 'Stormont' pattern marbled endpapers, all edges marbled. Very minor wear to extremities. Internally the additional engraved titles are browned, the tissue-guarded plates are generally lightly browned to edges, with light foxing, occasionally to subject.
