No Place: No Publisher, 1696. Single sided manuscript stock sheet / invoice, approximately 205mm x 145mm in size. Lightly browned, slightly chipped to edges but with no loss, reverse with a small amount of mathematics and two docket titles. The stock of John Bond, presumably referring to lead seals for sealing packages, but possibly for fob seals used for sealing documents, this dated July 2nd, 1696, with the stock "remaining in his hands on last recount of March 26, 1696" listed. Beneath the charge of thirty pounds, fifteen shillings and eight pence is noted and signed by the parties involved including Bond, and below that a note that the remainder is due on this account Oct. 1, 1696 signed by Tho, Smalle for Small ?Moscow. First Edition. Unbound. Good. 12mo (Oblong). Receipt / Invoice.

Chipped to spine ends with small amount of loss, gilt rubbed and dulled, corners bumped and worn, several scrapes to covers couple of small splits to outer joints but well held. Very lightly browned internally, but generally clean. Previous owners bookplate to front pastedown. Engraved frontispiece engraved by J. Langlois. From the library of Sir J.T. Spine ends chipped with loss, lacking end bands, outer joints split but holding well, corners bumped and worn, scrape with loss to leather on lower cover of volume two. Internally some light dust staining, but generally fairly clean, bottom corner missing of Ii4 (not affecting text), and (X4) is absent, but the catchword is correct.
