The 2nd issue was intended for sale to general public, and I presume still had a small print run. I qualify this as good condition due to the toning/sunning to covers. Otherwise, this would be very good. Internally, pages are nice. The binding is tight and boxed. No markings. The tipped in subscription papers are clean. Preserved in an acid-free archival bag. This is an ultra-rare 1st US edition of Anthem, an important novel depicting a dystopian future where individuality has been eradicated. This is a gorgeous copy of a rather scarce sci-fi pulp. I grade as G++ based on the LIGHT toning to the pages, but otherwise this could be considered VG, especially considering it's 65+ years old. The binding is square and tight. The cover art is bright and sharp, as is the rear panel advertisement. There is MINOR edge rubbing and creasing to the front cover (see image).
