Description:
Los Angeles: Pamphleteers, Inc., 1946. 1st Edition . Stiff Wraps. Good++. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. This is the 1st US edition 2nd issue. Published by the Pamphleteers and disseminated initially by subscription to The Freeman subscribers. The 1st issue was sent out to subscribers only. The 2nd issue was intended for sale to general public, and I presume still had a small print run. I qualify this as good condition due to the toning/sunning to covers. Otherwise, this would be very good. Internally, pages are nice. The binding is tight and boxed. No markings. The tipped in subscription papers are clean. Preserved in an acid-free archival bag. This is an ultra-rare 1st US edition of Anthem, an important novel depicting a dystopian future where individuality has been eradicated. This 1st US edition required minor revisions, per introduction, to style but not story or theme. This edition saw a small print run. INCLUDED WITH THIS COPY are original paper materials from the… Read More

Description:
Chicago: King Size Publishing, Inc., 1953. First Edition First Printing. Soft cover. Good++/No Jacket. Digest - over 5 3/8" - 8 3/8" tall. Alex Schomburg (cover). Love the cover art here. Except for the flying saucers, it's reminiscent of Planet of the Apes. Works by: Evan HUnter, Irving Cox Jr., William Campbell Gault, A Bertram Chandler, Walt Sheldon, Cliford D Simak, Poul Anderson, Richard Matheson, Eric Frank Russell, Arthur G Stangland, Andrew North, H Russell Wakefield, James MacGregor. This is a gorgeous copy of a rather scarce sci-fi pulp. I grade as G++ based on the LIGHT toning to the pages, but otherwise this could be considered VG, especially considering it's 65+ years old. The binding is square and tight. The cover art is bright and sharp, as is the rear panel advertisement. There is MINOR edge rubbing and creasing to the front cover (see image). Internally, there are 5 faint pencil check marks on the table of contents, but otherwise no markings, no tears.… Read More
