Scarce framed albumen silver portrait of MacDonald in Roman attire. Signed "War! Sincerely, W.H. MacDonald" to base of image. MacDonald studied opera under leading masters in Europe with his debut in Italy, later coming to the United States to perform for the Emma Abbott Grand English Opera Company and subsequently joined the Boston Ideal Opera Company in 1880 (Who's Who in America, 1899). Comes with the new extended revised edition of "Mafia Wife, My Story of Love, Murder, and Madness" by Milito and signed by her with an inscription (2012 print). Includes black and white photos and documents throughout.
