Total of 83 postcards: 69 color and 14 black and white and/or sepia toned; some of which are hand-colored. Depicts many different locations such as O.C. Barber's Barn, Farm, and Mansion, Barberton Fire Station No. 1, Diamond Match Factory and Shop, Lake Anna, and also several churches, avenues, and commercial businesses. Some postcards never sent and so has no handwriting, although a good portion have been addressed with a message and an adhered one cent stamp. Condition of postcards range from Fine to Good, although the majority are Fine with only a few in the Good criterion; those that are Good have wear to edges and creasing (see images). Each postcard generally 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches. Shipped through boxed USPS Priority mail.

Autograph note by a young Harrison as aide-de-camp to General Mad Anthony Wayne: "Greenville 19th July 1795. The Commissary will issue for the Ottawas thirty seven pounds of beef + flour + sixty gills of whisky." Losses to paper under some letters due to iron gall ink (see image). The note is a little more than questionable inasmuch as Harrison (who would later become an opponent to whisky sales to the natives) was to shortly (August 3, 1795) be a signatory to The Treaty of Greenville wherein the indigenous tribes would surrender much of their land to the United States. Very scarce salesman's sample book depicting random (albeit titillating) parts of the complete volume including black/white and many colored plates. Calf spine sample adhered to front pastedown; cloth spine printed to rear board.. 10 pages in the back of the book were reserved to be signed by subscribers pledging to buy the book. Colored plate adjacent to page 142 has a repaired tear. Corners worn and contents slightly foxed; otherwise a clean copy. 5.25 x 7.5 in

Set of 17 issues of Brief all from 1945. Each issue includes a full page photo of a pin-up girl on the back cover. Models include: Marguerite Chapman, Virginia de Luce, Lana Turner, Belita, Dorothy Morris, Ava Gardner and many others. In addition to being a news and information publication, Brief also strives to acquaint the men with the accomplishments of the personnel of AAFPOA. Original publication of the Columbian Centinel including Congress' authority to establish a Post-Office and Post-Roads within the United States. No previous owners' names or other markings. Spotting and crease lines from previous folding at horizontal and vertical centers (see image). 11 1/4 x 17 3/4 inches.

Original copy from 1792 of Columbian Centinel. Contains an article titled "Agreeable Intelligence, (If True.)," which is one man's account of 3 spies being directed to a Native American encampment for intelligence. Once informed, General Scott divided his troop into 3 divisions who then attacked them by surprise and thus were victorious in defeating the Native Americans and re-obtaining U.S. provisions, stores, cattle, etc. that were previously stolen. At the end of this article is a pink asterisk that references some handwritten text at the base of the newspaper, which is difficult to read. Includes several other articles and advertisements. Light toning at previous fold lines. Small closed tears at edges of newspaper (see image). 4 pp. 11 x 17 3/4 inches.

Inscribed by the still-anonymous author to verso of front fly: "Richard Lee Esq / with the authors kind regards / Sep' 1850" Corrigenda to verso of title followed by tipped-in Errata. To this work was later added a three page extension of the Supplement entitled "Minutes of Evidence before Select Committee on the African Slave Trade in the House of Lords, in 1849…" which sites (and is also accompanied by) the folding "Plan of the Slave Ship Brooks" borrowed from Thomas Clarkson's History of the Rise, Progress, and Accomplishment of the Abolition of the African Slave-Trade (London, 1808).

Prepublication sample issue of Fortune magazine prior to its first official publication in January 1930. Enclosed is a letter from the publisher detailing the magazine's purpose, its subject (business) and philosophy. Stated on this letter: This dummy "will give advertisers some hint of what Fortune Vol. 1, No. 1 will be like when it appears January, 1930." Many pages have place holders for where images would be inserted with text describing what image would be included. Includes images by Margaret Bourke-White and Louis Lozowick.
