Peko Publishing, 2019. New book, 120 pages, 100+ photos. The M40 Nimrod self-propelled armoured autocannon was designed and constructed by Hungarian engineers of Swedish origin. Description:
Mushroom Model Publications, 2020. New book, 80 pages, Camera On 21. Germany was at the forefront of the development of armoured cars during the First World War. In the early 1920s, the "Zusatz von Bologne" which was an amendment to the Treaty of Versailles allowed the German Army to produce armoured cars primarily for policing duties and eventually this gave rise to the military Sd.Kfz.13 series in the early 1930s. This publication covers German 4-wheeled cars in great photographic detail, focusing on the armoured cars and their crews as they dealt with the conditions and circumstances in which they found themselves. Rare photographs from the author's own collection have been used to illustrate this book; they were taken by ordinary German soldiers not by official army cameramen whose images are already well known to enthusiasts.. Description:
Panzer Tracts, 2013. New book, 84 pages, No.16-1. This was one of the most exciting projects for the Panzer Tracts team with significant new discoveries. The history of the Bergepanther has been difficult to unravel: firstly, there was a lack of clarity in the original German documentation, secondly, the Allies were only interested in Bergepanther equipped with the 40t winch and associated spade. Now, Panzer Tracts can reveal a much more complete story of the Bergepanther which was essential to the functioning of Panther and Tiger units. Besides the Ausf.A & G we found three different versions converted from the turretless Pz.Kpfw.Panther chassis! Two were new vehicles while the final one was rebuilt from large numbers of Panther Ausf.D in a previously undocumented factory. Between 25% and 30% of all Bergepanther were turretless Panther chassis. Hundreds of hours were spent accurately measuring surviving Bergepanther and drawing at full-scale to create accurate as-built drawings. This 84-page…
