Highlights: the autograph ms. of von Weber's Second Piano Concerto No. 2 in E flat was esitmated at 250,000-300,000 GBP, and although apparently not used for any edition of the piano concerto did not sell. Three illustrations from this beautiful 78 pp. ms. The manuscript of Schubert's Violin Sonata in D major, D.384, with extensive cancellations alterations and additions sold for 215,200 GBP. A rare autograph manuscript of Handel, an unknown aria, the first autograph ms. of Handel to appear at auction in 40 years sold for 120,00 GBP. A sketch leaf of Beethoven's Octet for two oboes, two clarinets, two horns and two bassoons Op.103 and for the Piano Trio Op.1 no.3 and for several other unidentified works, containing several hitherto unknown themes and ideas by Beethoven, consisting of maybe 100 bars, recto and verso, is one side here illustrated full page. Schubert's manuscript in parts for the String Quartet in C, D.46, which is claimed to be the primary source for the first publication sold for 60,000 GBP.. Illustrated Wraps.
