The images were silk-screened at the Women's Studio Workshop on Kozo paper. The slip cases were silk-screened by Thomas Wojak at W.O.R.K.S. and constructed by John DeMerritt. Diane Jacobs set and printed the text, created the artwork and constructed the books. Alphabet Tricks situates itself and women in that ambivalent space between a word's connotation and denotation, revealing society's contradiction between desire for and condemnation of feminine sexuality. This is a pamphlet edition of Miller's original sculptural book from 2008 of the same title. That edition of 4 is now out of print.  An alphabetical recounting of a childhood fondness for stamps and maps. Each page has a map corresponding to the appropriate letter (e.g. Afghanistan, Bolivia, Congo...) with an autobiographical narrative about the artist's fascination for maps.

Janet survived the years — cuddled, dressed, and investigated (see "E is for Embroidery Scissors" for details of the internal exam) — and now is reformatted as a paper doll with an alphabetic history. The paper doll book produces Janet with a stand and four outfits and includes details of how each came to be.

The 26 letters of the alphabet plus a Question Mark (?) and Ampersand (&) aligned in 4 columns and 7 rows. Each letter/symbol printed in red on a perforated rectangle (2.25 x 3"). One in a series of broadsides based on mottoes or common phrases created by Jessica Spring. "Red Letter Day" is used to describe a special day, a day on which something special has happened or will happen. Red & white twine accompanies each broadside. The letters can be perforated, given out, displayed individually or kept in a 'bundle' with the thread to tie them together.
