No dust jacket. Very little wear. Blue-green cloth covered boards with gilt print on the spine. Blacked out owner's name inside the front cover. Pages are clean, tight and bright, with a number of tiny spots on the page edges, mainly on top. I have not observed any margin notes or underlining. This seems to be a quite rare book. I would imagine this more for a collector, as the techniques of metallurgy must have had some advances over the past sixty years. (Or maybe not all that much.)

A collection of high school level lab experiments in physics, 65 in total. From a time before hand calculators, so features use of trig and logarithm tables and slide rules. A bored student experimented with a ball point pen on the cover, but there are only a few pencil marks inside the text. These are primarily calculations related to 3-4 experiments with lenses. Otherwise the pages are clean. Bored student's name inside front cover.

Shows some wear, but the cloth cover has not worn through to the boards. Pages are clean, tight and mostly unmarked. Owner's name is inside the front cover, and there is a small bit of underlining on the first few pages before the owner seems to have grown tired of it. Not a physics book, per se, but a little more. Units cover topics such as Astronomy, Matter as Energy, States of Matter, Forms of Energy, Weather, and Geology. Used as a textbook at Central Washington College in the early 1950s. Not many copies on the market.

No dust jacket, probably never was one. The book was not treated well by the original owner, yet is still solid and tight. The cover shows wear, writing and the use of the owner's new grinder. (See photos for some of the many wedges cut from the edges of the cover.) The owner also seemed to abhor blank pages, so many are well decorated with his name, notes, calculations and other doodles. A few margin notes can be found within, plus an ink spill (pictured) and a few cut out eyeholes (same picture). Well illustrated, with a few in color. A rare book.

Very little wear to the book. Dark brown fabric covers with gilt print on the spine. Dust jacket has little wear other than four small tears, all less than 1.5 cm. Owner's name on the front end paper has been blacked out with a marker. Pages are clean, tight and unmarked. (I have a feeling X-ray diffraction is not something most of us can do at home.) This is a rare book.
