308 deckle-edged pages. Book club edition. Book is in great condition; the dust jacket just has a few small tears. A man finds that with the use of certain hallucinogenic drugs, he is able to travel between his time and the 14th century. Described on the flyleaf as an ancient/modern Gothic tale. Some aspects of the story make me wonder if it wasn't a bit influential in the composition of Stephen King's and Peter Straub's The Talisman. (I'm just speculating, you'll have to ask them.)

First edition. A collection of short stories and poems from a master of the macabre. Some horror, some thriller, some suspense, some just flat out weird.

A small amount of wear. The covers have a few chips along the edges, the spine is skewed a little, with 3-4 creases. The pages are clean, tight and unmarked. Originally published in 1943. A rather scarce book in better than average condition. Really doesn't look 50 years old.

Straub features one of the few recurring characters in his writings, Timothy Underhill. A story of evil and madness. Book and dust jacket have very little wear. Dust jacket does have the remains of a price sticker (see photo).

First edition, second printing. A little shelf wear on the book, the dust jacket has avoided even that, encased in a clear plastic book cover. The classic evil twin story, reimaged in Straub's own way. This book will ship at over two pounds. Rather than ask for a shipping adjustment at the time of purchase, I have opted to add a small shipping surcharge to the list price.

A story of life, friendship, magic, and other stuff. The book shows very little wear. The dust jacket has some wear around the edges and is clipped. Currently protected by a clear plastic book cover.

Some shelf wear at the corners. Seven short stories by such authors as Bram Stoker, Ambrose Bierce, Charles Dickins, and Washington Irving. Suitable for middle school readers. Illustrated. 214 pages.

A collection of three early Straub novels, including one not published before. Julia, originally published in 1975 as Full Circle, is a ghost story with elements of horror and mystery. If You Could See Me Now is another horror story first published in 1977. Under Venus is a non-horror novel set in 1960, published here for the first time and released on its own in 1985. There is a fair amount of chipping along the edges and at the corners. A 1 cm x 1.5 cm piece is missing from the edge of the back cover, as shown in photo #2. This book will ship at about two pounds.
