Photo #3 is of King Charles's Tower. (Doesn't say which one.) This is a travel guide that would have been sold to tourists to the area. No date within, but I suspect it to be from the late 1950s. (Some of the automobiles in the photographs look more like 1930s and 1940s.) Little wear.

Trade paperback. First edition. I cannot promise that all the "pleasures" are still I business 27 years later. Bed and Breakfast operations seem to come and go, but in the south there is no shortage of stately manors to host such operations. I am sure some are still there, and today you can supplement this book with the internet. Covers eight southern states, from Virginia to Louisiana (They left out Florida, I guess it gets its own book.) Very little wear, hardly been used.

A massive, if somewhat outdated, guidebook for the budget traveler. I am certainly listing this at the wrong time, but the Corona virus should come under control eventually, and by then we're all going to be stir crazy from terminal cabin fever that we'll need to go somewhere. Maybe Southeast Asia is your somewhere.

Old Sarum is the ruins of a fortified post-Roman English settlement from the Iron Age. Little wear.

Very little wear. Includes 108 Oregon State Parks, with descriptions, pictures and maps, organized by region. according to my extensive minute of research, there are now 110, so you'll miss out on two if you buy this book. Should still be enough to keep you busy. (By comparison, Washington State, with three times the population, has only 100. Told you my research was extensive!)

Very little wear. Also kind of old. Many of the attractions still exist, especially when it comes to natural attractions and parks. Businesses come and go, but some are still here even after more than 20 years. I flipped open a page and found a listing of bowling alleys with bumper bowling. Of the 13 listed, five are still in business. Of course, there are five more that were in business then that have bumper bowling now. Anyway, if you acquire this book and want to go somewhere, call first, it might be a condo now.

A guide to many attractions in and around Seattle. Obviously, over the past 22+ years, some things are not the same. For instance, there are more farmer's markets than were the case in 1998 (West Seattle, Burien, Duvall, and Carnation, to name a few), but the one at Country Village in Bothell is gone, as Bothell let that site be torn down (it should have been preserved as a landmark). The Museum of History and Industry has moved, and the Alaskan Way Viaduct and Kingdome are no more. The waterfront is pretty much all still there and a Ferris Wheel has been added. Restaurants and shopping ae going to be the parts with the most changes, but some of the best, like the original Ivar's, are still around. All of the coupons still are present, but some have expired.

A small guidebook to rivers self published by the Willamette Kayak and Canoe Club. Includes descriptions, ratings and some maps of river systems in Oregon. Cover is a little bit soiled and there is a patch of price sticker residue on the back cover. Pages look clean and the book looks unread. 116 pages. Rare book.
