Very little wear. I believe I can say without fear of contradiction that no other used bookseller is offering this particular volume. This is the master's thesis I picked up at a recent estate sale. I look at this, done on very thin paper, by typewriter and I think about my own thesis, composed some 34 years later and how even in 1995, the universities were just beginning to deal with the idea of preparing a thesis on a computer. The painstaking work done in this one is something that we will not see again now that computers have permeated our lives. This is a piece of history, as well as a primary source of data.

A rare edition. All I have found online are editions from the early 20th century. This would be a great sourcebook for quiz nights. I was a teacher for 40 years, but some of these questions stump me.
No dust jacket. The tan fabric covered boards show just mild wear at the edges and corners, and there is one small dark stain on the right hand edge of the front cover. The real wear problem is that the endpapers have split, both front and rear. Photo #3 shows the front split, the rear is worse. New endpapers might well be in order, if you feel up to that.

A collection of 27 essays about getting your child into college while remaining sane. A little wear and a little curl to the cover; nothing significant.

The book shows some wear on the cover (chips and rubs), but the pages are pristine. No highlighting or underlining that I can find. Owner's name inside from cover and embossed on the title page. Was used as a graduate level textbook for an Educational Research class. From the early days of hand-held calculators, the book has various mathematical tables in the Appendix. Still a useful book if you want to design some research in your classroom and then determine if the results mean anything.

The psychology of learning. A good thing for at least some educators to understand. This book is totally clean on the inside and has just a ew small dings on the outside. Doesn't look as if it has ever been read.

As a matter of fact, in 1973, we were just at the beginning of the pocket calculator era, and those few that existed were rather expensive and limited in functions. Tables of logarithms and trigonometry were still state of the art. Today, the math would be a lot less daunting. This book will ship at over two pounds. Part one deals with the usual health challenges of the school age child. Part two discusses the needs and aspects of a school-based health program. First published in 1959, some health aspects of modern America are not included, in some cases because they did not exist yet. No discussion of HIV and AIDS, because it wasn't identified until a few years after this publication. No discussion of sex education or sexual abuse. Nothing on vaccinations. But, one of the first sections deals with nutrition, including a discussion of the obese child (which they call "The Fat Child"). No Political Correctness in those days.
