A little outdated, but most attractions of Europe have been there for hundreds of years and probably still are. Covers all but the easternmost parts of Europe, although it does include Greece and Finland. NO appreciable wear, it feels as though it hasn't been opened often.

This is an odd little thing. Quite rare and highly valued. A firsthand account of travelling on the Alcan highway in the 1940s, from Iowa to Alaska. Part diary, part travelogue, part poetry. Printed on plain paper, which is quite yellowed and a little brittle. The cover was originally blue, and still is on the inside. Contains the author's account of the trip, with a number of poems written along the way and two photographs of a campsite alongside the highway. I have found three other copies on the market and have undercut them all.

Very little wear. A rather unique premise. A poetic account of a sea trip from Seattle to Alaska. With maps and color illustrations. The pages are clean, tight and bright; the spine has no creases. This book even comes with its own bookmark, see photos #4 and 5. A rare book.

Signed by the author and photographer inside the front cover. Little wear other than an area of water damage at the lower left corner, causing that part of the last 2/3 of the pages to be wavy (see photos 6 and 7 for a close-up). No staining. A book that takes you from Dawson Creek in British Columbia, through Yukon, to Delta Junction in Alaska, with many colorful photographs. Seems to be a rare book, even more so with the signatures.

Little wear to the book. Deep red fabric is a bit darkened over the spine. Pages are tight and clean, with only a small mark on the front endpaper. No dust jacket. The book consists of an accounting of Kipling's travels across the North American continent from west to east, undertaken in 1889, following his travels through Asia. These essays were communications Kipling sent to Indian newspapers in order to finance his travel. It was first published in book form in 1891. Kipling was not too fond of America, other than its women, it seems. This appears to be fairly rare.

Book shows very little wear. The pages are clean, tight and unmarked. Dust jacket shows wear along the top edge as it appears it was cut a couple of mm too tall. Much less wear along the lower edge. The off-white areas of the dust jacket are discolored over the spine, on the back cover and the top of the front cover. Not price clipped. Filled with hundreds of nature and landscape photographs from all over Arizona. Likely a first edition. A rare book. This book will ship at almost five pounds. Excess shipping costs are included in the list price.

Trade paperback. Very little wear. Spine is creaseless and the pages are clean, tight and unmarked. Inscription inside the front cover. Book consists of a listing of hundreds upon hundreds of places in Arizona, with cartographical locations, name origins and historical notes.

First edition. A guide to the Berkshires, loaded with photographs. Very little wear, just a few minor shelf-wear blemishes. A nice coffee table book. 128 pages. This book will ship at a bit over two pounds, so a small shipping surcharge has been added to the price.

Trade paperback. Very little wear, almost like new. 25 essays on travel by American writers. These essays may have been written 19 years ago, but they are still interesting reads today.

No dust jacket. Light green fabric covered boards with gilt print and decoration on front, back and spine. A history, cultural and travel guide of Austria (without much mention of wars, it appears). Full of illustrations, many in color. Little significant wear.

Minor wear. Owner's name on front cover. Many photographs in black and white and a few in color.

A collection of 14 pamphlets, brochures and booklets relating to aspects of California history. I have been able to find most of these items offered for sale online, and if you were to buy the cheapest ones out there, you would end up paying $170 or more and still not have them all. I think my price is a bargain. The items included are as follows:

Both are bifold sheets equivalent to six pages. On the 1954 edition, the first fold has failed. The 1957 edition has very little wear. Published by the National Park Service. This is a package of six booklets about California, all published between 1915 and 1965. Included are the following: California's Historical Monuments published by PG&E in 1965 (48 pp.); Old Mission Tales by Kate P. Sieghold, published in 1915 (20 pp.), including two tickets to Mission San Juan Capistrano (date unknown) and a brochure about the Franciscan Missions along El Camino Real (this is the only booklet showing significant wear to the cover); Trees, Shrubs and Flowers of the Redwood Region by Willis L. Jepson, published in 1950 (16 pp.); Monterey Trails by Lucia Shepardson, published in 1935 (38 pp.); On the Old Calaveras Road by Mary Goodrich, published in 1929 (17 pp.); and California Speaking (A Handbook of California History) by Maria Antonia Field, published in 1934 (19 pp.).
All of these publications are quite rare and some command rather high prices. I was unable to find any copies of Old Mission Tales in my search, so this might be the rarest of the bunch. The others have asking… Read More

Little wear. Lower front right corner of the cover is bent. Owner's name inside front cover. Two fold-outs, one a map shown in photo #3, the other of a large structure, are fully intact.

Photo #3 is of King Charles's Tower. (Doesn't say which one.) This is a travel guide that would have been sold to tourists to the area. No date within, but I suspect it to be from the late 1950s. (Some of the automobiles in the photographs look more like 1930s and 1940s.) Little wear.

Trade paperback. Small amount of wear at the lower corners. Remains of a price sticker on the back. Pages are clean, tight and unmarked. The spine is uncreased. This is the account of two men's adventure to retrace the steps of Coronado through the American southwest. They travelled as Coronado would have, on horseback, but with out the killing and pillaging.

Front cover has some dents and creases at the lower right corner. The spine is square and uncreased. The pages are clean, tight and unmarked, with many black and white photos plus a section of color photos near the center. First published in 1961.

Dust jacket is badly worn. Book is worn at teh corners and has a tear at the base of the spine, shown in photo #3. Each page offers a colour photograph of a English locality, with a two-to-four paragraph description.
