Diet plans seem to have cyclical live spans, they go away for a while and then come back with a different name and claim to be "new". It has been 27 years since this one came around, so it is due to resurface any day now. You can get it here under its previous name, and save some bread (which you shouldn't eat in this diet, anyway).

No dust jacket. Also not plot. Just 770 pages of tables of food contents. Book shows little wear, other than the lost dust jacket. Owner's name inside front cover and some highlighting scattered throughout. For every food included, you are provided with the calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, cholesterol, sodium, and fiber. They also provide entries based on various popular brand names. For enchilada sauce, for instance, there are entries for Chi-Chi's, La Victoria, Las Palmas (red, green and hot), Rosarita, and Old El Paso (red, green and hot). And then there's the three brands of enchilada seasoning mix. Fast food is included, too, with a page and a quarter dedicated to KFC, for instance. The book is over 20 years old, so any brands newer than that will not be included. (Taco Bell, for instance, has many menu items that weren't around in 1997.) This book will ship at about three pounds. Excess shipping costs are included in the list price.

Advice is given by styles of food, not by brand name of restaurants, therefore it is still relevant even after 28 years. This is designed to help everyone, not just the diabetic. The publisher did not do a good job gluing this copy, so the binding is not firmly attached to the packet of pages. The pages are still firmly attached to each other, but not fully attached to the cover. Looks like a lack of adequate glue was used. Hence, a bargain basement price. Looks pretty good otherwise.

Large trade paperback. Little wear other than a bit of a curl to the covers. 593 pages are clean, tight and unmarked. How to make Super Baby-Food, as opposed to food for your superbaby, I guess. But then part one is titled, Feeding Your Super Baby, so now I'm confused again. Food for babies from birth to age three, although I see no reason older folks couldn't eat a lot of this stuff. Even a section on arts and crafts, like how to make your own play clay, finger paints and bubbles. Other nutritional reference materials, too.
