For its age, this book is really well preserved. A few minor blemishes to the covers, but the pages are excellent. The problems are good, too. Maybe not all 200, but most of them. This is a reprint of a book originally released in 1908. A fairly rare book.

Otherwise, the signs of wear are minor. Please do not buy this book. I play the English a lot and I don't need someone else out there prepared and ready to beat it. Ok, I'm kidding, buy the book. If you know the Chess informant, then you know that this is a book filled with games played by the top competitors in chess. #56 covers games played in 1992 to 1993. 405 pages of little more than games, games, games, deeply analyzed. Very little wear, almost like new.
