Includes many illustrations and facsimile pages from the newspaper, as well as an index and rosters of various departments of the newspaper at the time of publication; 434 pages. No names or other markings in the book.

Indianapolis: Bobbs-Merrill; (1941). First Edition . Hardcover. Dust Jacket Included. Stated first edition, very good in a very good- dust jacket. Brick colored cloth is a little rubbed at edges and corners; endpapers are a little darkened. The jacket is rubbed in places, and bottom 1.5" of spine is missing, with just a small portion of publisher's name still there. Smaller chips at head of spine and edges. Signed by the author on the front endpaper (signature only)

Baton Rouge, LA: Louisiana State University Press, 1943. First Edition . Hardcover. Dust Jacket Included. Very good in a very good dust jacket. Small piece of inner portion of the jacket has adhered to the gray cloth near the top of the spine, where there is a small dampstain. The jacket has the same small dampstain, and numerous small chips and tears at the edges. Journalism Monographs Number 2; 65 pages.

Chicago: Chicago Tribune, 1924. First Edition . Soft cover. Good in stapled wraps, with both covers detached from the book. Signed by the author on the front cover, and initialled by the author on the front cover and again inside the front cover. Slight loss to bottom of front cover, just barely affecting author's signature there. "Tulsa County Historical Society" stamp inside front and rear covers. Excerpts from the newspaper column "The Line" which appeared in the Chicago Tribune.

Philadelphia: David McKay; (1940). First Edition . Hardcover. Dust Jacket Included. Very good in a good+ dust jacket. The foredge of the rear board has a mild dampstain. The dampstain just lightened the orange cloth a shade or two. Faint erasure of name on front endpaper. The jacket also shows a fairly minor dampstain on the rear panel and flap, with just a little color bleeding onto the rear panel from the cloth. There is a chip (about 1" x 1/2" at the lower right corner of the front panel. There are other small chips and edgewear generally. For all the faults, the book is tight and clean inside and the jacket is acceptable. Pictures by Josef. Stories about Joe and Ethel Turp, characters in Runyon's newspaper column.

The jacket is a little soiled and rubbed, with a couple of small tears at edges. A collection of humorous essays which appeared in the Manchester Guardian in the early 1960's. $3.95 price on front flap; no names or other writing in the book.

NY: S.M. Pettengill & Co.; (1877). First Edition . Hardcover. Very good in the original brown cloth. The cloth is worn at corners and spine ends. The interior is tight and clean. Small label "Compliments of S.M. Pettengill & Co." affixed to front endpaper. Lists all newspapers, daily and weekly, in the US in 1877. Many pages of advertising, 3 engraved portraits (one is Wm. Cullen Bryant). 345 pages.

Tulsa, OK: Tulsa Tribune; (1955). First Edition . Soft cover. Very Good/No Jacket. Very good in stapled wraps, illustrated on front cover with a drawing by Clarence Allen representing a cross section of cultures encountered on the trip. The author was the editor/owner of the Tulsa Tribune, and this 8 1/2" x 11" stapled book is an offprint of the articles published in the newspaper as Jones made his way around the world. Signed by the author, and additionally inscribed by Samuel Boorstin, a local attorney and father of historian Daniel Boorstin.
