Philadelphia: David McKay; (1940). First Edition . Hardcover. Dust Jacket Included. Very good in a good+ dust jacket. The foredge of the rear board has a mild dampstain. The dampstain just lightened the orange cloth a shade or two. Faint erasure of name on front endpaper. The jacket also shows a fairly minor dampstain on the rear panel and flap, with just a little color bleeding onto the rear panel from the cloth. There is a chip (about 1" x 1/2" at the lower right corner of the front panel. There are other small chips and edgewear generally. For all the faults, the book is tight and clean inside and the jacket is acceptable. Pictures by Josef. Stories about Joe and Ethel Turp, characters in Runyon's newspaper column.
