This book contains extensive information on the life of baby Margaret Louise Strauss, born in Feb 1904 in Ann Arbor. Includes several photos and a lock of the little one's hair. How unfortunate that this volume left the family. We attempted to locate descendants in the Ann Arbor area, with no luck.

"Memorial gifts to the Pilgrim Memorial Fund - 1920". After reaching it's goal in 1920, the Memorial Fund was dissolved in 1923. This 108 page book was presented in 1930 to all who had donated between $1000. and $100,000. There is a brief description of each donor, and information about the person(s) they were honoring. The fund was a retirement plan for ministers of the Congregational Church.

Very detailed historical accounting of soldiers from the area. Many photos and charts. Lots of names will be familiar to anyone from the Greater New Haven area. Extra postage required outside the US.

Brown velvet boards with gold titles, minor shelfwear, foxing to some pages, numerous photos, some detached (but present), half-title page has been removed and it is believed to have had a photo attached. This is a family history, title page reads: "Filled by the Children, the Grandchildren, and a few of the Friends of Elizabeth and Alexander Black, In commemoration of their Golden Wedding Anniversary October 4, 1931". Reverse reads: " Printed in the USA for the Black-Helmle Dynasty, by the Quinn & Boden Co.". Many family photos, children, locales, etc. Alexander Black was a pioneer in the motion picture industry, producing "picture plays" in the 1890s. Well known in his day.

The efforts of Mr. Powers and others to save the old Dudley Farm in Guilford, CT. Several B&W photos. I drove by this property many times over the years.
