Other than being an ex-library edition, this copy is quite clean and in sound condition; evidently not a popular read at the time, usual stickers and markings. Dr. Bashore was with the PA. Dept. of Health and was convinced that crowded, windowless housing contributed to tuberculosis. Illus with B&W photos of "sub-standard" houses, tenements, and schools.
