Top front corner bumped, else a very sound copy in the jacket which has some edgewear and one or two wrinkles to edges. Uncommon in this first US edition from Leonardo Arte.

"An essential work for all lovers of public service vehicles and students of fashion design." Somewhat obscure, a wilfully eccentric vision consisting entirely of pictures of buses, mostly with women included in shot, taken across the UK and continental Europe, from France and Portugal to Switzerland and the Alps. Many pictures accompanied by a brief whimsical comment by Jowitt. Entertaining, if obsessive and predating perhaps some of the issues and themes around photography brought into focus by the internet. Author also of the more common A Silence of Trolleybuses and A Desire of Tramcars. Uncommon.

Some light foxing to the first few pages and to endpapers, small nick to jacket at hd of spine, else a clean, very sound copy, images bright and clean. Continues araki's focus on domesticity of married life with his wife, from kitchen to bedroom, initiated in his pioneering work 'Sentimental Journey'.
