Altho Galesburg- born and died, Litvin spent a lot of time on Maxwell Street and Halsted Street in Chicago's South Side, where his father operated a hardware store. Some of these stories of his relatives seem very real.

This is copy no. 224. This short fiction was so acclaimed by its editor, Edward J. O'Brien, and other editors at Esquire, that this limited edition in book form was produced before the story appeared in the May, 1938 issue of the magazine.
