Description:
George Town, Penang: Municipality of George Town, Penang, 1932. First edition. Paperback. Very Good. This book mainly contains 80 pages of black and white plates designed to introduce the potential visitor to the delights of the island. It records both a Penang which still exists and one which has been lost to development. However it is remarkable how much remains very recognisable. A rare record of pre-war Penang. Photos by Tan Joo Beng. Weight 0.7kg. Post free within Malaysia The cover has minimal shelf wear and the pages minimal tanning. There is a one and a half inch split in the binding at the base of the spine, but this hasn't affected the binding which is still strong.
