Orange card covers lettred in black and with tipped on color plate. 92 full color plates printed versos only, plus index at rear. Boards with light even soiling, slightly rounded corners. The inside of both covers as well as the facing tile page and rear blank are heavily foxed otherwise the interior plates are clean and bright. Reproduced are original works in full color by noted wildlife artists Allan Brooks, George Miksch Sutton, Walter Alois Weber, Walter John Breckinridge, Francis Lee Jaques and Louis Agassiz Fuertes. Both early editiions of this collection (1936 and 1937) are extremely scarce.
