All show a publication date of 1856 and are written by I. R. Butts. Spot at the bottom of the spine (maybe where a seal was). Frayed a bit at top and bottom of spine. Corner tips show some wear. 10c written inside front cover. A generally Good and tight copy.. Hard Cover. Good/No Dust Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Dedicated to the legal fraternity of Houston, Texas it contains chapters on Motive, Weapons, Decoys, Modes of Murder, Counterfeit Presentments, Divorce, Insanity, Bigamy, Rape etc. The inner front hinge is beginning to separate but is still holding. Otherwise the book is in Good condition - a bit of wear, a bit of soil, delicate at front hinge, but generally Good, with nice flower endpapers. . First Edition. Hard Cover.
