This is probably the definative work on the McGuffey Readers - a 2 volume set with decorated tan boards and red leather spines in a slipcase covered with marbled paper. The books are EX-LIBRARY, although you would scarcely guess it from the condition. There is a large chip out of the top of the spine of each; otherwise, they hardly appear to have been opened. Slipcase just starting to split along upper joints, one abrasion where sticker was removed(?) Otherwise NICE. 203pp/482pp.. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket.
